Make a shot list

Think about the question each image answers: does it show the product, explain a process or introduce a space? A shot list helps avoid ending up with dozens of similar photos while missing an essential wide shot or detail.

Plan for different formats

A cover, a card and a narrow mobile screen crop images differently. Leave space around the main subject. Keep the originals, and avoid embedding text in a photograph if it needs to change on the website.

Label and check the material

Record what each photo shows, which project it belongs to and whether it can be published. Do not present stock or generated images as your team or completed work. An honest description matters more than a decorative effect.
